- Electric staplers. They just don't staple for me. (I have similar problems with paper cutters, but that's not really, you know, the right flavor of technology for this, I think.)
- MP3 players. I still have an mp3 CD player. It uses rechargeable AA's; I just can't see going to an mp3 player that I'd have to plug in to charge. (A Sony, too... it's quite nice. I actually have a Sony boombox that plays mp3 CDs, as well, with speakers good enough that I can tell the difference between a normal CD and the mp3 version of it.)
- YouTube. I'll go look at videos if someone points them out (like, say, the BlizzCon contests, or something), but I don't generally poke around there.
- Web browsing. Somehow "surfing the 'Net" just never really happened for me. I read news sites, and I Google (or, more often now, Wikipedia) to find some kinds of information, and there are organizations' sites, and webcomics, but my husband is always ending up at the most off-the-wall sites, and I have no idea how he's getting there. There's so much stuff out there, and I just don't feel that terribly inclined to browse. (Maybe this is why bookstores like Borders occaionally drive me batty? I always go in looking for something, not just anything...)
- TV. I watch the Triple Crown races and the New Year's Eve ball-drop. I used to watch TV; I'm not entirely sure when I stopped, but sometime back towards the beginning of high school, it just stopped interesting me. If I watch any shows now, it's on DVD, en masse. (So far that's been like, Firefly, Cowboy BeBop, and a smattering of others.)
- MySpace, FaceBook, et al. I have a MySpace profile, but social networking sites just don't do it for me. I'm active on the forums for my WoW guild, and I've been active on other forums in the past; I seem to prefer that format.
- Flickr, and other photo-sharing sites. Perhaps because I've had my own domains for almost ten years now, I've never really looked for somewhere to upload pictures to.
- PhotoShop. I just don't... see the need for me to use it.
- XML. I've played with it. I can make it do stuff. But I really have no application for it. (Unless you all want to be able to do the kind of SQL queries on my writing list that I do?)
- Digital photography. I have a digital camera. I've used it. But I still take the 35mm with me on vacation. Why? I don't know. I took 6 rolls of film in the Finger Lakes this past July. When I ran out of film and ran across a rock formation that particularly fascinated me, I had to borrow my husband's camera. Then I bought more film.
- Podcasting and videocasting are pretty much off my radar. (I wouldn't mind the NPR podcasts, but quite frankly, I'm not likely to get around to listening to them if I don't just turn on the radio.)
- Fax machines. I did try; it didn't work. I mailed it.
- Phones which require something more complicated than a 9 or some other digit to dial out (and phone functions more complicated than, say, placing calls are just out). I can figure out my cell phones fine; for some reason I can't figure out how to check voice mail on a normal phone.
I guess that's all that readily comes to mind. I may feel obligated to follow this up with stuff I can figure out later, just to belay whatever suspicion I've created that I'm wholly inept. >.>
