So, besides working fifty-ish hours a week, we're now house-hunting, sort of, I guess. The market is decent, and we've got a good chance of getting a house for about what we're paying in rent. I think I actually prefer living in city limits.
Yeah, working fifty-ish hours a week. I guess that's what happens when you more or less absorb 50% of the work of a position that wasn't filled. I know the state of New York has excesses somewhere, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't on our campus. Or at least, not in the library on our campus. I love what I do, but I'd kind of like to sleep sometimes, too.
Read Pratchett's Unseen Academicals last weekend. I would try to get a hold of his new one (another Tiffany Aching book), but I know what the odds of getting something new through ILL are.
I've been reading through all my scanned stuff - there's a couple I need to go rescan pages for, mostly stuff from the older scanner. The newer one, scanning into Adobe, I think I've caught when it misses a page. There are a couple things that I want to rework, and a whole lot of crap from high school. The painful-to-read kind of crap.
I'm kind of disappointed I haven't had time to do more with the reading projects, but when you get home at seven and try to get to bed by midnight, between chores and dinner and unwinding for a couple hours, you just don't get much done.
At least I'm getting some writing in on lunch.
