Of apples

The apple tree made gazillions of apples again this year.  I don't think I'm going to get much of any of them, however.  I didn't spray the tree (I was sick for most of the time period I probably should have), so the bugs got a good deal of them.  The squirrels are getting a lot of the ones from the top of the tree.

It's a good thing we're not relying on them for our survival.  Sure, they're edible, but cutting out bug bites and such from every apple makes them more trouble than they're worth for how much time I have to work with them.

On the upside, we have a gazillion books on fruit tree cultivation at work.
