Things I Learned in School that I Wonder if They Still Teach

This is stuff I've found useful over the years that I wonder if they still teach:
  • How to read a weather map - fronts, high pressure zones, etc. - 2nd grade
  • How to balance a checkbook - 6th grade
  • MLA citations - high school
  • Format for formal debate and how to use evidence to support your side - 10th grade
  • Comma rules - 1st grade
  • Essay structure - introduction, topic sentences for paragraphs, supporting sentences, conclusion - 6th grade
  • Formats for business letters, memos, resumes, and other business correspondence - 10th grade
  • Drafting - 7th & 8th grade
  • How to tie an electrical knot - 8th grade
  • Basic sewing - 7th & 8th grade (also from 4-H)
  • How human reproduction works - 4th grade
  • How to keep score for bowling - around 4th grade
  • Basic printmaking - 9th grade
  • Pyramid structure for news articles - 12th grade
  • Diagramming sentences - 6th grade
